Anonymous asked: And also - are you currently at Sheridan for Illustration?

Yep! I’m starting second year in the fall c:

Anonymous asked: Did you go to art school first (and complete your years there) and then apply to Sheridan illustration for the following year? I'm wondering because I just finished my first year BFA, but I'm thinking of switching to Sheridan illustration (because my ultimate career goal is to be an illustrator) and I'm unsure whether I should keep going (BFA) and apply afterwards, or switch mid-completion if I get in Sheridan.

I came straight out of high school and into Sheridan, but my high school had a four year art program there.

There aren’t any degree requirements in order to get into Illustration, so it’s honestly up to you and whether or not you think you need the BFA to refine your skills so you’ll have a successful portfolio. I mean I’m not a career counsillor or anything, but you don’t need both the BFA and the BA in Illustration to be an illustrator. In the end, clients will care more about how your work looks, than the number of degrees you have. But yeah, ultimately, it’s up to what you think is best for you.
